Certified English Teacher

Richard Milburn Academy seeks a High School English Teacher for the 2024/2025 School Year. The ideal candidate will have a valid teacher certification, a Bachelor's degree or higher, and prior experience working with at-risk students. The teacher will be responsible for helping students master challenging standards, teaching diligently, and preparing reports.

Requirements

• Valid teacher certification
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Prior experience or formal training in working with 'at-risk' students
• Proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with various constituencies
• Ability to effectively educate and manage students from varying backgrounds and socio-economic levels
• Experience in effectively handling conflict
• Demonstrates knowledge within the area of specialization to a degree consistent with the educator's professional preparation
