Special Education Teacher - Propel Northside

Propel is seeking a Special Education Teacher for its Propel Northside School. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher will collaborate with administrators and staff to plan and lead special education students to learning success. They will design coherent instruction, develop learning resources, and assess student learning.

Requirements

• Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-12, 9-12 or N-12
• Experience working with the special education school age population
• Knowledge of Special Education principles, laws, assessment practices, etc.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills
• High level of personal organization and planning
• Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments
• Deep content area knowledge
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
• Ability to utilize data to differentiate instruction
• A commitment to the Promising Principles of Propel
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competency, high degree of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
• Skilled in the use of Google Suite and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies
