Job Description
My Co Galway is seeking a Software Engineer to join their software development life cycle team, focusing on the development of automated calf feeding equipment software. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software, requiring strong communication, independent work ethic, and familiarity with electronic circuitry and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative, and capable of working within a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in relevant industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering
- Minimum qualification of 7 in software engineering
- Demonstrable experience in embedded systems and real-time applications
- Experience with Embedded Linux and QT
- Experience with embedded real-time operating systems
- Experience with Databases (SQL or SQL Lite)
- Experience with IOT connectivity
- Experience with hardware/software debugging equipment
- Good knowledge of hardware design, micro-controllers, and electronics
- Planning and organizational skills
- Motivated to work on own initiative
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to make and implement decisions within tight deadlines
- Organizational Abilities – ability to prioritize, set schedules, and work across multiple projects
