Job Description
Pioneer Management Consulting partners with utilities and energy leaders to deliver clarity and alignment on major capital projects. They specialize in transforming capital delivery, optimizing portfolios, and enabling high-performance teams. This Principal Consultant role will guide clients through the full sourcing lifecycle, integrating with engineering, construction, and project controls.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain leadership within utilities, EPC, or management consulting environments.
- Proven track record across multiple project cycles (initiation through commissioning) on transmission, substation, or grid modernization programs exceeding $500M+.
- Deep understanding of EPC sourcing, major materials procurement, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience structuring RFPs, contracts, and negotiation strategies.
- Strong expertise in contract administration – ensuring compliance, managing change orders, tracking deliverables, and maintaining alignment.
- Experience working inside or advising regulated utilities, with fluency in cost recovery, rate case alignment, and stakeholder management.
