Program Assistant

The Program Assistant works closely with community members, partner organizations, and programs in our service areas. They are responsible for assisting with the facilitation of programs, assisting with registration, pre/post-program preparations and helping to build connections with participants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or 2-3 years related experience in a community setting
• Related experience in a community setting and community programs
• Experience working with the program-specific population/diverse communities and knowledge of related community resources is a strong asset
• Mobility Requirements: Physical capacity to lift up to 50lbs and climbing could be required based on program responsibilities
• Fluency in English is essential; fluency in Somali, Arabic, and French is an asset; fluency in other languages is desirable.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications
• Valid First Aid and CPR (level C) is an asset
