Relief Men's Inn Counselor

The Guest Services Specialist (GSS) provides direct care to guests at the Pine Street Inn, focusing on their immediate needs and promoting housing pathways. This role involves responding to guests, assisting with housing applications, and connecting them with relevant resources, while prioritizing safety and well-being. GSS assists with data entry, report documentation, and seeking guidance from supervisors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Human Services field
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to stretch, bend and lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to assist guests up and down stairs and in-and-out of wheelchairs
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
• Mental ability to respond safely, quickly and calmly in emergencies
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Ability to communicate/speak well, as well as to listen
• Valid MA driver’s license in good standing
