Substation Technician A

This substation technician position is a 6-8 year continuous in-house position within the construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and systems. The role involves working with various pieces of construction equipment in confined spaces and elevated areas, requiring skills and knowledge related to substation systems. It requires travel to Florida and other states, potentially involving long hours during emergencies. This position may require leadership responsibilities and coaching of subordinates.

Requirements

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must be capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Capable of working in confined spaces/areas.
• Capable of working independently or with others.
• Capable of interpreting substation structural drawings.
• Proficient knowledge of substation systems.
• Ability to lead/coach subordinates.
