The Redirection Associate supports all operations related to the mobilization of volunteers and food redirection in the Kanbe’s Warehouse. This position works with volunteers and the Redirection Program Team to sort produce, maintain quality standards, and keep the warehouse environment clean and organized.
Requirements
- Volunteer Experience: Welcome volunteer groups at Kanbe’s Markets, Provide groups a positive, meaningful sorting experience
- Donation Program: Greet & load out Hunger Relief Partners as needed, Assist in packing donation pallets, Support detailed record keeping of redirected destinations and volume
- General Warehouse Operations: Maintain organization, cleanliness and work flow of warehouse spaces, Maintain cleanliness of all supplies needed for food redirection sorting (cans, boxes, crates, etc.), Manage trash and recycling levels within warehouse, Collaborate with the Redirection Team to log all incoming produce and units sorted and redirected to respective destinations
- Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Attention to detail, Able to lift 40lbs, Ability to stand and work for long periods of time, Ability to operate a pallet jack (with training), Basic computer skills including email, word processing, and online programs, Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
