Patient Care Assistant - Med/Surg - Full time - Nights

OakBend Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support licensed nursing staff in the Medical/Surgical Unit. The role involves providing patient care, assisting with medical procedures, offering observation, providing clerical support, and ensuring safety. The PCA works under the supervision of the Nursing Manager and Clinical Coordinator and contributes to the hospital's mission and values.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Relevant experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred
• Any one of the following required certifications or licenses:
• Nursing student with fundamentals of nursing (LVN or RN)
• Current enrollment in an accredited EMT program
• Completion of formal nursing assistance program
• Graduate of a healthcare-related field
• BLS certification required
