Chemist Technician II

NRG is seeking a Chemist Technician II to operate and maintain a 1 million gallon per day capacity water treatment plant. The position involves operating and maintaining plant chemical-related processes, troubleshooting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining records. The role focuses on extending boiler and turbine life and optimizing plant production.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 8 college hours in Chemistry
• 2 years of power plant experience or 4 years of industrial chemical experience
• Class D Wastewater License (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic understanding of water chemistry principles and lab techniques
• Ability to use computer applications and communicate clearly
