The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) delivers comprehensive water, wastewater, and solid waste services to over 2 million residents across 2,200 square miles of North Texas. Its core offerings include water collection, treatment, distribution, wastewater treatment, water reuse, and solid waste disposal, supported by a long-standing partnership among member cities and the Texas Legislature. NTMWD distinguishes itself through the operation of the nation’s largest man-made wetlands, which naturally polish treated wastewater, augment regional supplies, and sustain local ecosystems. Heavy Equipment Operator - Facilities
2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation, high school diploma or G.E.D., and valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License Class A
Wastewater Plant Operator II
High school diploma or GED, 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment, Class C Wastewater Treatment Operator's License, and a valid Texas Driver's License are required
Water Plant Operator III
5+ years of water treatment experience, Class B Water Operator's Certificate of Competency, and high school diploma or GED
Mechanic - Industrial
Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance of mechanical equipment, high school diploma or GED, valid Texas Driver's License
Director of Planning
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, planning, or a related field, 10 years of progressive experience in planning and management
Mechanic's Assistant
Collaborate with Wastewater Mechanics, evaluate equipment performance, and perform routine maintenance and repair
Transport Driver - Solid Waste
3+ years experience in operating Class A CDL vehicles, valid Texas Class A CDL, and high school diploma or GED
Mechanic's Assistant
High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or trade certification preferred; 0-1 year of experience in wastewater operations or maintenance preferred
Wastewater Plant Operator III
3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment, valid Texas Driver's License, and a Class B Wastewater Treatment Operator's License are required
Transport Driver - Wastewater
Valid CDL, 3 years of experience, high school diploma or GED, knowledge of wastewater operations, basic computer skills, and electrical and mechanical knowledge
