Job Description
Nidec is seeking an Equipment Engineer to develop electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircrafts. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic product development and electromechanical propulsion systems. The position involves designing the equipment's architecture, integrating hardware, software, and firmware, and conducting equipment level testing.
Requirements
- Experience with electronic product development and phase-gate processes
- Experience in development of electromechanical propulsion systems or electromechanical actuation systems
- Experience in development of high voltage motor control equipment
- Experience with development of safety critical controllers
- Knowledge about embedded software and FPGA firmware development
- Experience with integration of hardware, software and firmware
- Experience with airworthiness certification requirements
- Experience with equipment level safety assessment
- Experience with ARP 4754A
- Experience with DO-254
- Experience with DO-160
- Experience with IBM DOORS or JAMA
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink
