Job Description
We're looking for a Power Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our team at Nidec Aerospace in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our team, you'll design and develop power electronic circuits for electric propulsion systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the needs of the aerospace industry. You'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise to make a real impact in the industry's transition to net-zero carbon emissions.
Requirements
- Design and develop functionally safe motor control power electronics for electric propulsion systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architecture
- Conduct circuit analysis and simulations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the motor controller
- Utilize Altium Designer software for schematic design, PCB layout and manufacturing documentation
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards, such as ISO 26262, throughout the development process
