Job Description
New Leaf Energy is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II to join their growing team supporting utility-scale solar PV and energy storage project development. The role involves designing, directing, and managing projects using tools like the Value Stream Map (VSM), identifying resources, and ensuring design quality and adherence to regulations. The position reports to the Vice President of Civil Engineering.
Requirements
- 6–12 years of demonstrated experience in site development, entitlement, and environmental permitting (municipal, state, and federal).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in cost estimation, reviewing engineering services contracts, managing subconsultants, and overseeing project schedules.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
