Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patient care delivery and clinic operations within the New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute. The role is responsible for preparing patients for visits, assisting providers with clinical workflows, accurately documenting patient information, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are properly maintained.

Requirements

• Verifies, safeguards and secures patient information
• Obtains all messages from answering service and returns patient calls
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests
• Communicates with patients and their families as directed and requested by physicians
• Coordinates and reviews physicians and clinical staff schedules
