Job Description
The Physician Assistant, "PA", is responsible for clinical oversight, health counseling, and treatment planning in assigned clinical settings. They perform physical examinations, diagnose and prescribe treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health and injury management. The role involves administrative duties, patient education, and referral to specialists.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in state of practice
- Nationally Certified as PA-C by NCCPA
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Current DEA license to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed within state of practice
- Valid NPI
- Current DOT medical examiner certification
- Master’s degree required
- At least one year (three years preferred) of clinical experience as a PA in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, urgent care, or emergency department setting
- Ability to train ancillary support staff on clinical skills
