Mika, the refined Mediterranean restaurant by acclaimed chef Michael White, is seeking an experienced AM Sous Chef to lead and execute all prep operations for the restaurant. This role is critical to maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency across all service periods by ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared and organized each day.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including sous chef or strong lead prep experience
- Experience in high-volume, fine-dining or upscale Mediterranean/Italian kitchens preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a kitchen team
- Solid understanding of classic techniques, prep systems, and kitchen logistics
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen procedures
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
