Job Description
Mercury Insurance is seeking a Senior Economist to build and lead their enterprise economics function, providing insights for pricing, underwriting, and investment decisions. The role involves collaborating with various departments to create forecasts and improve risk management. This is a hands-on position reporting to the Vice President, Actuarial Services.
Requirements
- 7+ years of economics analyst experience in P&C insurance or related financial services.
- Work knowledge of econometrics and time-series analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Python or R and data tools.
- Experience preparing analyses and presentations for leadership audiences.
- Familiarity with P&C lines, loss drivers, social inflation, reinsurance markets, and regulatory contexts.
