CT/XRAY TECHNOLOGIST

This is a Full Time Position performing complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment, and assisting radiologists with routine and interventional CT procedures.

Requirements

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment
• Position patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary
• Perform all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist
• Assist radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
• Film/transmit to Image Archival System
• Dispense and/or order oral contrast to patients for CT scans
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV placement for contrast administration and safe IV contrast administration
• Demonstrate proficiency and advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures, including, but not limited to X-ray and Fluoroscopy, with C-arm, and OR work
• Practice radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards
• Ability to operate equipment consistently with the manufacturer's recommendations
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and independently call a service engineer if the malfunction needs outside maintenance
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR, including charging for procedures and supplies
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required
• Assist, train, or cross-train imaging staff members as directed
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned
