Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - part time

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide direct clinical service to patients, perform medication evaluation and treatment, and provide psychotherapy/case management. The role is client-focused and requires coordination with other healthcare professionals and following established guidelines. The PMHNP will contribute to team-based care and incorporate behavioral health with primary care. Service delivery is based on patient-centered goals and accepted standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in prescribing medications and awareness of possible side effects.
• Ability to provide specialty consultation to primary care providers and families.
• Experience with non-violent crisis prevention and management.
• Fluency in English, Haitian Creole, or Spanish (or willingness to learn).
• Knowledge of DSM V and/or mental disorder classification.
• Credentialed as an advanced practice clinician in psychiatric care
