Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics Platform team, driving the strategy, design and implementation of our next-generation cloud-based Data Fabric and Data Mesh platform (Data Platform 2.0).

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive software/data engineering experience
• High proficiency in two of the following: Python, Java or Scala
• Experience in cloud computing
• Designing and building complex, highly scalable, reliable data pipelines
• Cloud native application and cloud services architecture on AWS
• API and microservices architecture
• Streaming and event processing architectures and platforms
• Structured and unstructured databases and usage patterns
• High-speed, high-volume, high-frequency transaction processing systems
• Real-time logging, monitoring and resiliency approaches
• Process automation approaches and tooling
• UNIX/Linux OS and scripting skills
• Infrastructure as code technologies
• Databases, both SQL and NoSQL
• Knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
• Craftsman-like approach to building software
• A proponent of strong collaborative software engineering techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships
• E-trading and financial services industry experience is a plus
• Strong presentation skills
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
