Job Description
The Welcome Center will provide mental health services in Santa Monica, CA, aiming to create a welcoming space for individuals in need. This therapist position will be part of the Maple Counseling Center's second location, assisting individuals seeking support in a therapeutic setting. The role involves conducting clinical screenings, providing therapy, and managing case loads to ensure each individual is connected with appropriate resources. The position is part-time to full-time and operates on a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of California
- Master’s degree in a mental health-related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in a community mental health setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and clinical assessment
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Skilled in conducting research
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods
