Military Family Life Counselor

The Military Family Life Counselor provides non-medical counseling services to children of military service members and their families at military installations. The counselor works with children of all ages, providing assessment, brief counseling, and consultation to parents and installation command. The counselor will also provide training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs, and establish working relationships with community resources.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field
• Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth
• Minimum of two years of post-license clinical experience
• Intermediate-level competencies in technology and software
• Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children
• Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
