Tapping Operator - Multiple Shifts

As a Tapping Operator at MacLean-Fogg’s Saegertown facility, you will play an important role in the final stages of our precision manufacturing process. You will be responsible for operating tapping machines to thread parts to exact specifications, ensuring high-quality output for industries such as aerospace, military, automotive, and industrial.

Requirements

• Operate tapping machines to thread internal or external parts to precise tolerances.
• Set up and adjust machines based on work orders, blueprints, or part specifications.
• Monitor and inspect parts during production for thread quality, dimensions, and defects using appropriate gauging tools.
• Ensure consistent operation of equipment, reporting malfunctions or unusual conditions immediately.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and tooling changes as needed.
• Accurately complete production documentation and follow traveler instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with 5S standards.
• Support plant safety policies and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
