The Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join their team. The Process Safety Engineer will provide technical expertise and support for the Process Safety Management program, facilitating process safety reviews and coordinating the review and design of pressure relief and emergency venting systems.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or technical degree.
- 2+ years of experience in chemical plant operations, in a process engineering, process design and/or manufacturing role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of chemical process equipment and unit operations.
- Practical and direct Process Safety program experience.
- Experience leading, facilitating and documenting hazard/risk assessments including Process Hazard Analysis using HAZOP methodology.
- Strong working knowledge of emergency relief devices and pressure safety design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and use P&IDs, material balances, equipment and layout drawings, and specifications for complex chemical processes.
- Proven communication and presentation skills; able to effectively promote ideas within the plant and across the organization.
