Veterinary Technician 1, 2, or 3-Neurology

We are seeking a Veterinary Technician 1, 2, or 3-Neurology to support the neurology service at LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The technician will assist with patient care, instructional activities, and client communication. The position involves a variety of tasks, including restraint and positioning for procedures, urinary catheter placement, and diagnostic sample collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree in veterinary technology; OR CVT or equivalent; OR 3 years of experience in a working environment with similar duties
• Certification as a vet tech or equivalent with 4 years experience; OR 7 Years of experience in a working environment with similar duties
• Basic computer skills, problem-solving and communication skills
• Math skills; including drug calculations (dosage & conversions)
• Operation of equipment, diagnostic tests and hand held analyzers (eg. Glucometer)
