Roadway Engineer

Lochner is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience in designing roadways and drainage for INDOT and will oversee and assist in analyses, developing calculations, and preparing contract documents. The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer (PE) certification, and 5-8 years of experience in roadway and/or bridge design and plan preparation for DOT clients.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering required
• Professional Engineer (PE) required
• 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in roadway and/or bridge design and plan preparation on transportation projects for DOT clients
• Experience in design software
• Experience in Microstation and OpenRoads designer is a plus
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Traffic modeling, roundabout design, drainage design and/or highway lighting design experience is a plus
