Job Description
Last Mile Health is seeking a Facilitator for the m-mama initiative in Malawi to support district health management teams in implementing the Emergency Transport System. This is a four-month contract role focused on supporting capacity building, community driver management, and district-level ownership. The initiative aims to improve access to timely life-saving care for pregnant women and newborns in rural Malawi.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, Health Systems Management, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting maternal, newborn, and reproductive health programs in Malawi.
- Good understanding of Malawi’s health system and DHMT operations.
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned districts.
- Fluency in English and Chichewa; knowledge of other local languages is an asset.
