Molding Process Engineer - Automotive Plastics Manufacturing

A leading automotive plastics manufacturer is seeking a Molding Process Engineer to collaborate with program managers and suppliers to optimize molding processes. The role involves developing process sheets, water/hot runner diagrams, and training secondary operations, as well as ensuring compliance with quality systems and OSHA procedures. Continuous improvement and automation support are also expected.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in plastic injection molding and process optimization
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
• Familiarity with A3P and mold flow analysis tools
• Understanding of standard quality practices and lean manufacturing
• Ability to read tooling prints and interpret technical documentation
• Computer proficiency and hands-on troubleshooting mindset
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
