Job Description
Kanopi Studios is seeking a WordPress Engineer to join their growing team. The role involves building, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress websites for clients, collaborating with various teams, and focusing on performance, security, and accessibility. The position offers a remote work environment and a commitment to employee growth.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience, including custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg block development.
- Strong understanding of modern WordPress architecture (CPTs, REST API, taxonomies, hooks/filters).
- Proficient with React for Gutenberg blocks.
- Experience with modern development workflows (Composer, Docker, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and multi-environment setups).
- Experience working within a digital agency or multi-client environment.
- Familiarity with different project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Experience identifying and surfacing potential project risks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
