Job Description
Joby Aviation is seeking a passionate Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team as part of the Autonomy Systems team. This role involves designing and integrating mechanical systems for the Joby aircraft, including developing and certifying these systems, and working closely with diverse teams like Systems, Hardware, and GNC. The engineer will contribute to the complete aircraft system design and ensure successful design validation and verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Expertise in part design using CAD tools and manufacturing drawings
- Experience with regulatory requirements and qualification tests
- Proficiency in design of metallic and composite assemblies
- Experience with finite element analysis
- Proficiency in design for manufacturability
- Solid understanding of aircraft systems
- Ability to self-manage and learn new skills
