This Masters level clinical position requires experience with latency-aged youth, knowledge of trauma-informed care and excellent interpersonal skills. The Clinician is responsible for providing trauma informed clinical services to children and their families through individual, dyad, group, and family therapy at Italian Home.
Requirements
- Masters-level degree in social work, mental health counseling or psychology
- Massachusetts State Clinical license (LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC) or capacity for advancement towards this licensure
- 1-2 years post Master’s experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, clinical assessment skills, and knowledge of statewide behavioral health systems
- Experience working with children and families; experience providing treatment to children with social, emotional, and trauma concerns as well as mental health and developmental disorders
- Strong knowledge of and application of clinical skills in individual, group, and family therapy interventions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task and prioritize, able to meet deadlines
- Must be receptive and responsive to supervision and professional development
- Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and safely
- Maintain strictest confidentiality with respect to agency, employee and client information; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Visual and hearing acuity to perform job related functions
- Physical ability to provide therapeutic physical restraint in situations where it is absolutely necessary
