Governance Research Analyst

ISS STOXX is seeking a Governance Research Analyst to join their Global Research team based in Tokyo, Japan. The role involves translating and summarizing Japanese shareholder proposals and corporate incident news into English, as well as extracting information from disclosures to issue vote recommendations for Japanese shareholder meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong writing and reading skills in Japanese and English
• Interests in corporate governance, shareholder issues, or proxy voting issues
• Intermediate proficiency or interest in learning formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel and other tools
• Able to work independently and in a team environment, as well as under tight deadlines
• Amenable with a hybrid work arrangement- 3 days in the office and 2 days' work from home per week
• Amenable to working extended hours during the proxy seasons (overtime and weekend work during the months of February, March, May, and June)
