Head of Programmes

The Head of Programmes will support the Chief of Mission in ensuring coherence between IOM Zimbabwe Programmes and implementing them in an effective and efficient manner. The role will also involve coordinating ongoing partnerships, identifying new programme opportunities, and contributing to resource mobilization.

Requirements

• Assist the Chief of Mission in formulating country strategies and approaches
• Coordinate the implementation of programmes/activities at national level
• Promote convergence between all units and programmes
• Keep abreast of and analyze migration issues
• Coordinate humanitarian response programming
• Facilitate knowledge building and management
• Support in actively building and maintaining strong communications with key stakeholders
• Liaise with national and international counterparts
• Identify potential programme opportunities and projects
• Represent IOM and participate in relevant country UN and inter-agency bodies
