Job Description
We are seeking a Linux Patching Engineer with 5+ years of experience in patching multiple Linux platforms, including Redhat, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Sun Solaris. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying OS patches and upgrades, configuring new services, and performing patching with kickstart using automation scripts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in patching multiple Linux platforms
- Proficiency in writing shell scripts, debugging errors, and modifying scripts
- Expertise in DNS, FTP, and NFS, as well as remote access and security
- Experience with Redhat Satellite server and Spacewalk server
- Proficiency in administering, installing missing packages, and hand-on experience with ticketing tools like BMC Remedy
- Availability 24X7, especially on weekends
