As Chief Steward, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and proper handling of kitchen equipment. This role involves supervising and coordinating all stewarding activities, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting efficient kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be a team leader and advocate for safe, efficient, and True Hospitality practices.
Requirements
- Supervise and coordinate all stewarding activities including dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and equipment care.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and kitchen operating equipment.
- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of kitchen equipment.
- Train and lead the stewarding team.
- Work closely with the culinary and F&B teams.
- Maintain proper waste management and recycling processes.
- Prepare reports on breakage, chemical usage, and stewarding schedules.
- Ensure all stewarding equipment and areas are kept in good working condition.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
