Job Description
Ideaware is seeking a mid-senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a growing health and wellness company focused on weight-management and personalized plans. This role involves designing, building, and scaling scalable data-driven systems to empower patients and expand access to care. The company emphasizes proactive problem-solving, collaboration, and high-quality delivery.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience developing web applications using Ruby on Rails in production environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong knowledge of Ruby and the Rails framework, including Active Record, MVC structure, and RESTful design principles
- Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and experience with background job systems (Sidekiq or Resque)
- Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached)
- Knowledge of version control using Git and experience working with pull requests and code reviews
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud environments
