Job Description
iCapital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Vice President or Vice President Fund Attorney to join its International Legal team in Toronto. This role will provide strategic legal guidance throughout the fund lifecycle, working with a partner at a fast-paced international firm. The position focuses on global private funds across different investment strategies.
Requirements
- Negotiate various agreements with counterparties.
- Draft, review and negotiate fund documentation (offering materials, partnership agreements, declarations of trust, etc.).
- Assist with regulatory matters.
- Provide counsel on legal matters affecting private investment funds.
- Manage outside legal counsel.
- Contribute to the development of internal legal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
