As a Craftsperson (Lines) at ScottishPower, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault finding/repair, and constructing SPEN's overhead network up to 33kV within the DVMW area. You will be part of a team to construct, repair, and refurbish the network, and you will need to have a full valid driving license and experience in low and high voltage electrical distribution networks.
Requirements
- Plan and pre-vet jobs, in both daily and fault scenarios.
- Understand SPEN network diagrams.
- Operate a range of vehicles, both on and off-road.
- Work day and night in adverse weather conditions.
- Use various overhead equipment.
- Create risk assessments before commencement of work.
- Keep up to date with booking of daily hours.
- Work to a high standard whilst demonstrating the highest levels of health and safety in line with current SPEN safety rules.
