Registered Practical Nurse Nursing Resource Team

Humber River Health is seeking a Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse to join their Nursing Resource Team. The team supports Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units, and members will be available for rotating shifts. Humber River Health focuses on incorporating technology to improve patient care and create a team-focused environment.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing diploma program.
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification or demonstrated competency.
• Minimum 1 year acute medical/surgical experience (preferred), or 2 years with the Nurse Resource Team (asset).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrate adherence to the hospital’s code of conduct.
• Demonstrate competency in various skills including (but not limited to), intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy initiation and discontinuation, Blood Transfusion, Wound Care Dressing, Medication Administration, etc.
• Basic computer skills and Meditech experience (asset).
• Knowledge of community resources
• Excellent attendance and discipline.
