PRODUCE MANAGER

Produce Manager responsible for achieving desired gross profit, productivity, and sales projections. Responsible for receiving and unloading truck deliveries, establishing work assignments, and maintaining a neat and clean work area.

Requirements

• Achieves desired gross profit
• Achieves desired level of productivity
• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs
• Orders product according to established guidelines
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel
• Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues
• Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts
• Prepares weekly work schedules according to established guidelines
• Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies
• Using pricing/label gun, marks each item with the correct selling price
• Rotates merchandise according to anticipated shelf life/product expiration dates
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment
• Maintains a neat and clean work area
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy
