Intern Electrical Estimator Summer 2026 - Oregon

The Intern Electrical Estimator will assist the Estimating Department in various tasks, including reviewing project BIM models, generating quantity take-offs, and collaborating on project cost adjustments. This internship opportunity offers exposure to the estimating process and provides hands-on experience. The position requires proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and basic understanding of electrical codes.

Requirements

• Download documents and 3D Building Information Models (BIM).
• Read and interpret design, construction drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Write and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs, and activity checklists.
• Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI).
• Receive and distribute change documents issued by other team members.
• Compare and quantify changes issued in document addendums.
• Tally construction elements and summarize quantities in Excel and other estimating software.
• Create scope letters to be shared with vendors, subcontractors, and included as project budget support documentation.
• Good time-management, written, and oral communication skills
