This role supports HeritageSGs mission by providing strategic leadership in archaeological research beyond excavation, with a focus on artefact-based and scientific analysis.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in archaeology, heritage studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 10 years in archaeology or heritage practice, including at least 3 years in leadership or management role.
- Experience working within or closely with public sector, museum, and archaeology is preferred.
- Experience in overseeing archaeological research, post-excavation processes, and documentation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and external service providers.
- Strong professional knowledge of archaeological practice, documentation, and interpretive methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic, collaborative leader with a strong sense of stewardship, accountability, and stakeholder engagement.
