Requirements

• Production of mechanical equipment layouts, models and drawings in accordance with project requirements
• Design of project specific mechanical components or systems
• Fundamental knowledge of plant processes
• Interpreting plant PFDs, P&IDs, and plant battery limits and constraints
• Coordination of draftspersons and senior draftspersons
• Conceptual layout work and check drawings prior to release
• Design details of standard design elements
• 3D equipment modeling and 3D design
• Generating 2D drawings from the 3D model
• Design and drafting of mechanical plant models
• Clash detection of models with other discipline models
• Material quantity takeoffs
• Operability and maintainability reviews, walkthroughs
