Requirements
- Produce mechanical equipment layouts, models and drawings in accordance with project requirements
- Have sound knowledge in the design of project specific mechanical components or systems
- Understand the owner/user requirements and the project mission
- Coordinate the work of draftspersons and senior draftspersons
- Perform conceptual layout work, check drawings prior to release, and develop design details of standard design elements
- Prepare 3D equipment modeling and 3D design, generating 2D drawings from the 3D model as required by the project
- Execute designs following the mechanical and layout design criteria developed
- Use vendor data, drawings and information to develop and verify the model
- Conduct operability and maintainability reviews, walkthroughs
- Provide material quantity takeoffs for estimating purposes or inclusion into bulk commodity purchases and installation contracts
