Grundfos is looking for a Proposal Engineer to provide world-class customer service and technical/commercial sales support to customers, channel partners, OEMs, and sales teams. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, 5-7 years of sales/engineering experience, and extensive understanding of pumps and pump systems.
Requirements
- Provide customer and sales teams with product specification and technical assistance as needed.
- Provide custom costing, review and prepare formal quotations.
- Research, design and evaluate HVAC and mechanical products, equipment systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for the proposal stage which best reflect suggested design.
- Assess advanced product applications to determine proper selection of pumps; assist with high level product troubleshooting and installation assistance and provide product training to employees.
- Advise customers including Key Account and sales teams, and provide technical application and product training
- Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to create price quotes for non-standard products where list price is readily not available.
- Conduct product related technical analysis for internal and external audiences.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to prepare moderately complex quotation packages, review detailed specifications including technical deviations lists as required.
