Senior Network Architect-SME LAN/WAN, and DW/DM

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Network Architect/SME in Service Provider Backbone, LAN/WAN, and DW/DM for our NIH-CIT proposal. The role involves coordinating architecture designs and services, leading the transition of user accepted designs, and providing subject matter expertise in Service Provider backbone, Enterprise-level LAN/WAN, and Enterprise-level DWDM. The position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.

Requirements

• Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog
• Lead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security Teams
• Provide subject matter expertise in Service Provider backbone
• Provide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level LAN/WAN
• Provide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level DWDM
• Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectives
• Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
• Team with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements
• Maintain technical architecture documentation
• Troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Change management
• Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
• Strategic & Transformative planning for network architecture services
