Security Guard

The Security Guard performs routine security duties on an on-call, as-needed basis to protect property, assets, and personnel. This role requires dependability, professionalism, and flexibility to work varying schedules based on operational requirements.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of security and safety practices
• Ability to analyze and respond appropriately to incidents
• Ability to observe and record events accurately
• Strong communication, observation, and decision-making skills
• Ability to use sound judgment within established procedures
• Proficient in report writing and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least 6-12 months experience with aligned core responsibilities as a licensed security guard
• Experience in safety/security environments (e.g., military, law enforcement)
• Eligible for State of Alaska Security Guard license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid State driver’s license and clean record
• Obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months of hire
• Must be able to work a flexible on-call work schedule
