Job Description
The position is a 100% on-site role in Germantown, Maryland, seeking a Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Department of Energy's Office of Classification. This involves reviewing and analyzing classified government material, related to nuclear weapons design, development, and deployment, as well as related intelligence and nuclear events. The role requires relocation support and is long-term, requiring a dedicated focus on understanding the intricacies of nuclear weapon systems.
Requirements
- Active DOE Q clearance or an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of thermonuclear weapon construction and its operation.
- Two (2) years of hands-on nuclear weapons work support at a national laboratory or military institution.
- Bachelor's degree in one of the physical sciences (or a related engineering area) from an accredited college or university.
