Job Description
The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is seeking a summer Program Specialist for their Camp Juniper Knoll overnight camp. This position involves supervising and delivering archery and field sports experiences for children ages 5-17, developing activities, and ensuring a positive learning environment. Camp staff members will work 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Camp is closed during specific dates.
Requirements
- Loves to interact with children and has prior experience working with children of various ages
- Enjoys spending time outdoors and has prior experience working in an outdoor setting
- Prior experience participating in and/or instructing archery
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey rules and ensure range safety
- Willingness to work in indoor/outdoor camp settings with limited/simple equipment and rustic facilities
